Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha National Park

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional safari guide and begin your journey into Tanzania's spectacular wilderness.

Drive to Arusha National Park, one of Tanzania's most scenic parks, famous for its rich diversity of landscapes that include lush montane forests, open savannah, sparkling Momella Lakes, and the impressive backdrop of Mount Meru.

Enjoy your first game drive through the park, where you may encounter giraffes, Cape buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, waterbucks, bushbucks, baboons, blue monkeys and a wide variety of birdlife. The park is also home to black-and-white colobus monkeys, one of its signature attractions.

After lunch, continue exploring the park before heading to your lodge in the late afternoon.

Dinner and Overnight: Mt. Meru Game Lodge & Sanctuary / Similar

Day 2: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

Enjoy a game drive through this beautiful park, known for its diverse ecosystems including groundwater forests, acacia woodlands, open plains and the alkaline lake itself. Depending on the season, thousands of flamingos decorate the shoreline, while elephants, giraffes, hippos, baboons and the famous tree-climbing lions may also be spotted.

Following your game drive and picnic lunch, continue your journey through the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping at the historic Olduvai Gorge, one of the world's most important archaeological sites where early human fossils were discovered.

Proceed to Serengeti National Park, enjoying an en-route game drive as wildlife begins to appear across the endless plains.

Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

Spend the entire day exploring the vast Serengeti National Park, one of Africa's greatest wildlife destinations and home to the world-famous Great Migration.

Morning and afternoon game drives offer outstanding opportunities to observe the Big Five, along with cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, wildebeests, zebras and countless antelope species.

Your experienced safari guide will track wildlife movements throughout the day, maximizing your chances of memorable sightings while sharing fascinating insights into the Serengeti ecosystem.

A picnic lunch will be served inside the park before continuing your afternoon safari.

Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive as you depart Serengeti National Park before travelling back to the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Descend approximately 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World." This enormous volcanic caldera supports one of Africa's densest concentrations of wildlife and offers one of the best opportunities to see the endangered black rhino.

During your game drive, look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, gazelles and a remarkable variety of birdlife.

Following your crater safari, ascend to your lodge situated on the crater rim.

Day 5: Serengeti – Lake Manyara National Park

Day 5: Maasai Walking Safari – Arusha – Departure

After breakfast, enjoy a memorable guided walking safari with the Maasai community within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Accompanied by Maasai guides, learn about their traditional lifestyle, medicinal plants, livestock management and centuries-old customs while walking through the beautiful highland landscapes. This cultural encounter provides a fascinating insight into one of East Africa's most iconic indigenous communities.

Following the walk, depart for Arusha with lunch en route before continuing to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your outbound international flight.

1. Bookings /reservations policy
All bookings/reservations are made through Email for the purposes of referencing.
All booking vouchers are sent via email tour client for their reference
All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 3-4 business days.
All confirmed bookings should be confirmed with a 50% deposit to secure reservations.
The balance is paid 7 days before travel to allow us to clear with our suppliers on time.
Late reservations and modifications will attract a fee to secure reservations imposed on us by our suppliers.

2. Travelers name
All travelers/visitors are responsible to ensure their names match their passport/Id card names.

3. Inclusions/Exclusions
All inclusions on the tour package cover’s hotel service charges, Meal plan, transport(air/rail), entry & park fees, sightseeing, game drives as shown on each of the itinerary.
The Shades of Africa Travel ltd reserves the right to modify the tour arrangements for smooth operation of the tour.
The tour package doesn’t include items of personal nature, tips, gratuities.

4. Ticketing policy
All airfares or Train tickets are offered as a portion of our tour prices. These fares are subject to change without notice and on certain peak periods may not be available.
Air ticket cancellation subject airlines/Trian penalties and handing fee
All tickets for children are subject to Airline/train rules and regulations.

5. Child policy
Child above 12yrs of age sharing with 2 adults will be charged 50% of adult rate.
Children on own room sharing pay 75% of adult rate.
The company provides child seats on our fleet of vehicles on request.

6. Transport Policy
All our tour packages have included transport which is done by our fleet of vehicles

All our fleets are fully insured incase any misfortunes
All our fleets are fully registered with the regulatory bodies.

7. Cost/Price
All our tour packages are customized as per the client request and are packaged in regards to seasons/destinations.

8. Payment
Payment is required by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) or by cash transfer to the Shades of Africa Travel Ltd Bank Account, cheques, and pre-paid credit cards. Third parties may pre pay/credit or debit card presented at the start of the engagement must always be in the name of the traveler booking the tour package. Vouchers cannot be transferred, ie the person named on the voucher as the traveler must be the person reserves the booking.

9. Cancellation Policy:
Notice of cancellation must be made in writing to Shades of Africa Travel Ltd and the following scale of cancellation fees will be applied.

NOTE: Shades of Africa travel reserves the right to accept or decline any passenger or any trip should that person physical or mental condition impede the operation of the tour or the rights, welfare or enjoyment of other tour.
