Karibu Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide who will assist with your luggage before briefing you about your exciting adventure ahead.

You will then enjoy a scenic drive to Arusha, Tanzania's safari capital, passing vibrant local villages, coffee plantations, and views of Mount Meru if weather permits.

After arriving at your lodge, check in and spend the remainder of the day relaxing after your international flight. The peaceful gardens provide an ideal setting to unwind before beginning your safari.

Day 2: Hiking Adventure in Kilimanjaro National Park – Shira Plateau

Following breakfast, depart for Kilimanjaro National Park for an unforgettable day exploring one of Africa's most iconic mountains.

Today's excursion takes you to the spectacular Shira Plateau, one of Mount Kilimanjaro's oldest volcanic landscapes. Located at a high altitude, the plateau offers panoramic views of the mountain's upper slopes, volcanic formations, giant heather vegetation, and expansive alpine scenery.

Enjoy a guided hike through this unique environment while learning about the mountain's geology, ecology, and the various plant species adapted to the high-altitude climate. On clear days, you'll be rewarded with magnificent views across northern Tanzania and the snow-capped summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.

A picnic lunch will be served within the park before continuing your exploration.

In the afternoon, return to Arusha for a relaxing evening.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park Game Drive – Maasai Walking Safari

After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic gem nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

The park is famous for its lush groundwater forests, acacia woodlands, open grasslands, and the alkaline lake that attracts thousands of flamingos during certain seasons.

After enjoying your game drive and picnic lunch, continue towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Upon arrival, enjoy a fascinating guided walking safari with members of the Maasai community. Learn about their traditional way of life, livestock culture, medicinal plants, customs, and age-old survival techniques while admiring breathtaking views across the highlands.

Arrive at your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Full-Day Ngorongoro Crater Safari

Today promises one of Africa's finest wildlife experiences.

After breakfast, descend approximately 600 metres into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This remarkable natural sanctuary supports one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, making it one of the few places where visitors have an excellent chance of spotting the legendary Big Five in a single day.

Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the famous hippo pool while surrounded by spectacular scenery.

Continue exploring different sections of the crater floor during the afternoon before ascending back to the crater rim.

Return to your lodge for your final evening in Tanzania.

Day 5: Ngorongoro – Arusha – Kilimanjaro International Airport Departure

Enjoy the scenic drive through rolling countryside, Maasai villages, and coffee-growing areas, with opportunities to admire Tanzania's beautiful landscapes one last time.

Lunch will be served en route before continuing to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your outbound flight, bringing your unforgettable Tanzanian adventure to a close.

1. Bookings /reservations policy
All bookings/reservations are made through Email for the purposes of referencing.
All booking vouchers are sent via email tour client for their reference
All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 3-4 business days.
All confirmed bookings should be confirmed with a 50% deposit to secure reservations.
The balance is paid 7 days before travel to allow us to clear with our suppliers on time.
Late reservations and modifications will attract a fee to secure reservations imposed on us by our suppliers.

2. Travelers name
All travelers/visitors are responsible to ensure their names match their passport/Id card names.

3. Inclusions/Exclusions
All inclusions on the tour package cover’s hotel service charges, Meal plan, transport(air/rail), entry & park fees, sightseeing, game drives as shown on each of the itinerary.
The Shades of Africa Travel ltd reserves the right to modify the tour arrangements for smooth operation of the tour.
The tour package doesn’t include items of personal nature, tips, gratuities.

4. Ticketing policy
All airfares or Train tickets are offered as a portion of our tour prices. These fares are subject to change without notice and on certain peak periods may not be available.

5. Child policy
Child above 12yrs of age sharing with 2 adults will be charged 50% of adult rate.
Children on own room sharing pay 75% of adult rate.
The company provides child seats on our fleet of vehicles on request.

7. Cost/Price
All our tour packages are customized as per the client request and are packaged in regards to seasons/destinations.

8. Payment
Payment is required by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) or by cash transfer to the Shades of Africa Travel Ltd Bank Account, cheques, and pre-paid credit cards. Third parties may pre pay/credit or debit card presented at the start of the engagement must always be in the name of the traveler booking the tour package. Vouchers cannot be transferred, ie the person named on the voucher as the traveler must be the person reserves the booking.

9. Cancellation Policy:
Notice of cancellation must be made in writing to Shades of Africa Travel Ltd and the following scale of cancellation fees will be applied.

NOTE: Shades of Africa travel reserves the right to accept or decline any passenger or any trip should that person physical or mental condition impede the operation of the tour or the rights, welfare or enjoyment of other tour.
