Welcome to Tanzania!
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly received by your professional safari guide who will brief you on your upcoming adventure before departing for Lake Manyara National Park.
Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is one of Tanzania's most scenic national parks. Despite its relatively small size, the park offers remarkable ecological diversity, ranging from lush groundwater forests and acacia woodlands to open floodplains and the alkaline lake itself.
Lake Manyara is equally famous for its abundant birdlife, with seasonal flocks of flamingos, pelicans, hornbills, kingfishers and hundreds of other bird species making it a paradise for bird enthusiasts.
After a picnic lunch and an afternoon exploring the park, continue to Karatu where you'll check into your lodge surrounded by beautiful coffee plantations and rolling highlands.
Accommodation:
- Ngorongoro Farm House or
- Tiloma Lodge
Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Following breakfast, depart Karatu and begin your journey through the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Enjoy panoramic views of the crater highlands before continuing to the legendary Olduvai Gorge, one of the world's most important archaeological sites. Often referred to as the "Cradle of Mankind," Olduvai Gorge has yielded some of the earliest evidence of human evolution. Visit the small museum where you'll learn about the discoveries made by Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey.
Continue into the vast Serengeti National Park, famous for its endless golden plains and extraordinary wildlife populations.
Depending on the season, you may also witness part of the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration.
Arrive at your lodge in time to relax before dinner while enjoying the sounds of the African wilderness.
Accommodation: Seronera Wildlife Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Today is dedicated entirely to exploring one of Africa's greatest wildlife destinations.
After an early breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive across the Serengeti's iconic plains. Your experienced guide will track wildlife using years of local knowledge to maximize your chances of memorable sightings.
The Serengeti is also home to more than 500 recorded bird species, making it equally rewarding for bird lovers.
A picnic lunch will be served at a scenic location inside the park before continuing your afternoon wildlife exploration.
Return to the lodge before sunset for dinner and overnight.
Accommodation: Seronera Wildlife Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Enjoy breakfast before departing Serengeti and heading back toward the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Descend approximately 600 metres into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact volcanic caldera on Earth and one of Africa's most remarkable wildlife sanctuaries.
The crater's permanent water sources and fertile grasslands support an astonishing concentration of wildlife, offering excellent opportunities to spot the Big Five in a single day.
Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the famous hippo pool while surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
Later ascend the crater walls and transfer to your lodge located on the crater rim where cooler temperatures and stunning views provide the perfect end to another memorable safari day.
Accommodation: Rhino Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
After breakfast, enjoy one of the most unique experiences of your safari—a guided walking safari with members of the Maasai community within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Unlike traditional game drives, this walking excursion offers an intimate connection with nature while learning about one of East Africa's most iconic cultures.
Accompanied by experienced Maasai guides, you'll discover:
- Traditional Maasai customs and way of life
- Indigenous medicinal plants
- Livestock management practices
- Traditional homesteads (Bomas)
- Local history and cultural traditions
- The relationship between wildlife and Maasai communities
This enriching cultural encounter provides a fascinating perspective on how people have lived in harmony with wildlife for generations.
